If there is one thing that would make any man run the opposite direction, it would be the M word – marriage. Whether it is his character or his trauma from past relationships; it really is not certain. But one thing is for certain – YOU can do something to make him embrace the whole concept of lifetime commitment.
One of several fun methods to do this is to cuddle while you watch movies together. You can laugh and cry as you go through a list of chick movies that would show him the reward you can receive from loving someone and offering your whole life to that particular someone.
These movies might also be able to make him realize that marriage is not all about mortgage, paying for diapers and tuition, or even tightening your budget because all you can afford are cheap wedding favors. These movies will show that marriage can also be a lifetime of shared laughter and happy family events.
Can you remember the movie where Martin Short performed the role of a wedding planner? The wedding on that movie surely was not all about inexpensive wedding favors or a cheap wedding reception. It featured a lavish wedding between the daughter of George Banks (played by Steve Martin), a man who had to deal with obstructions as he had to end up being the Father of the Bride. The movie was a real success that a sequel just had to be filmed four years later.
Other equally excellent love stories and wedding movies are:
· Ever After – a Cinderella-based tale starring Drew Barrymore and Dougray Scott.
· The Wedding Singer – It was an Adam Sandler film which featured him as a wedding singer with Drew Barrymore as his love interest. It was such a well-loved movie that it finally turned into a stage play.
· My Big Fat Greek Wedding – a 2002 film that presents the story of a young Greek woman who fell in love with an American guy. This, naturally, begins her fight to make her family take this man in her life. Nia Vardalos is stellar with her performance as the lead actress and John Corbett portrays the guy who she fell in love with.
· The Wedding Planner – JLo was not someone who would recommend wedding favors under 1.00 as she plays a professional wedding planner. Matthew McConaughey stars as Eddie, Jennifer Lopez’s love interest.
· Runaway Bride – should be the best date movie for the two of you as the role gets reversed when Julia plays the role of a traumatized bride-to-be.
· Only You – starring Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr.
· Fools Rush In – an example of a whirlwind romance as Matthew Perry and Selma Hayek star together in this comedy yet touching movie.
This list could continue but it is ideal to begin with these excellent titles. Ease your man’s wedding anxieties and you are in for a wonderful proposal ahead!
